It"s a simple question with a fairly simple answer. According to Oxford Languages, the definition of a podcast is: a digital audio file made available on the internet for downloading to a computer or mobile device, typically available as a series, new installments of which can be received by subscribers automatically A simple definition is: online audio content that can be downloaded and listened to on demand... Podcasts provide listeners amazing choices and great flexibility. There are literally hundreds of thousands of active podcasts available with wide ranging topics. Most of these podcasts are hyper focused on one specific subject. Most podcast listeners download episodes to their smartphones. This content is delivered free of charge. Listeners can even "subscribe" to the podcast feed (for free) and get notified when the latest episode has been posted. As technology advances it is getting easier to access podcasts and podcasts have become "mainstream". Businesses and advertisers are taking advantage of podcasts as a way to deliver their messages to a wider audience.
